Stacks and Stacks of Straw Hat Art

Straw Hats from Hartford York Hats - Women's Borsalino Woven Fiber Panama Hat - The Isabella HatThe Daily Photo for February 25, 2007 at a blog called Somewhat Refined is wonderful. I’d like to put it up on my wall. It’s a tight angle close-up of a stack of straw hats, and when you click on it, the zoom allows you to see the nubby texture and weave.

The blog owner and photographer, Molly Benson, can’t not buy straw hats and says she keeps making piles of hats that should be given away. But then, she says:

I’ll notice that this one was made in Italy and that one was made in France and this one’s especially nice for gardening and that one’s nice to wear hiking . . .

And on it goes.

That’s okay, Molly. You’ve got lots kindred spirits out here. And we’ve all got our stacks of hats.
