Do You Know Your Birth Day Hat?

Hartford York Hats - Stetson Cashmere and Mouton Trooper - The TrapperI knew about the birthday suit and birthstone (naked in opals, baby, once a year!) – but apparently that’s just the tip of the gemstone.

A Wikipedia page lists the stones specific to the actual day of your birth:

* Monday : Pearl (the only non-gem)
* Tuesday : Garnet
* Wednesday : Cat’s eye (Chatoyant Chrysoberyl)
* Thursday : Emerald
* Friday : Topaz
* Saturday : Sapphire
* Sunday : Ruby

And know you know where I’m going, right?

Where’s the list of birth hats? Have you ever seen one? I’m sure I haven’t, and this has left me shaken, I’m not ashamed to say.

This appalling state of affairs (which smacks of conspiracy to some) is something I’m determined to rectify. Yes, I’m going to make it my life’s work to come up with a list of birth hats, so that if you were born on a Monday in January, say, you’d know to wear a Stetson cashmere and mouton trooper.

You’re welcome.
